What the ice show is
PHFSC has produced an annual ice show for decades. It's a full-length production with group numbers, feature numbers, and solo performances — and it sells real tickets to real audiences. The whole season's training builds toward show day, with a dedicated month of practice.
How to participate
Every registered PHFSC member is eligible to register. Aspire-program skaters take part in group numbers. Skaters with a private coach may be cast into groups, features, or solos, per ice show policies. Adult skaters welcome.
Casting
Placement is determined based on test day. Talk to your coach about your skater's goals this year. The earlier in the season the conversation happens, the more options you have.
Practice & rehearsals
Practices and rehearsals are mandatory and scheduled for the month leading up to the ice show.
Costumes & dresses
Group-number costumes are organized and determined by the ice show costume director. Feature and solo skaters work with the director on their additional costume(s).
Show day
Skaters arrive at the rink for call time before the show. Bring your skates, your costume(s), hair done and makeup ready (parents can help backstage with approval and SafeSport requirements met), and snacks. Photos and family time happen after the curtain call.
